Blue Jay

Easily recognizable with intense shades of blue, purple, and cyan, trimmed in black and white, the Blue Jay is graceful on the wing. A familiar bird in the Eastern United States, a member of the corvid family, clever and resourceful birds in many environments. They are a favorite of my husband who applauds their intelligent, social, and often cheeky behavior. Maybe that’s why his bird name is “Blue Jay.”
