Texas Canyon Longhorn – Megapurpuricenus magnificus
Texas Canyon Longhorn - Megapurpuricenus magnificus
This beetle emerged from a Miller Canyon, AZ oak tree in 2021. At the good heavy monsoon rain, they emerge in local masses in three-year cycles. They spend 2-3 days mating and laying eggs, where the larvae then spend the next years developing.
