Texas Canyon Wren
A part of the Little Dragoon Mountains of Arizona, Texas Canyon is known for its distinctive and intriguing rock formations. The body of rock was formed from magma that never made it to the surface. The intrusion occurred approximately 50 million years ago, long after the dinosaurs became extinct. Natural weathering has left the distinctive pedestals and balanced boulders exposed. The tiny Canyon Wren is dwarfed among the dramatic spires and pedestals.
